Embalagem |
Packaging The Time Capsule's Packaging was created using/resembling a book hardcover. Three pieces of wood were coated white and glued on the insides of the cover, turning it into a box. When closed, the box still looks like a hardcover book, the texture of the "whitened" wood resembling a stack of pages |

Another Time Capsule This is the monograph book of the project, discussing its ideas and development. Its form is based on an analogy between the idea of Assemblage and the concept of the Time Capsule as a collection of different objects. The contents of the monograph were designed to resemble different objects. The introduction and first two chapters, for instance, are the same size they first appeared on "#01, A Time Capsule",which I turned in last semester. The last two chapters are bigger, and the first contents (abstract, summary, etc...) and cover are smaller than the rest. The images and annexes were turned into booklets and other kinds of interventions on the book's shape. Amongst these contents are reproductions of the chosen designer's works, a booklet with images from Aspen magazine, and books with transcriptions of the emails exchanged with Daniel Eatock and Experimental Jetset. The pages were french-folded and hand-sewn together. |

Two Narratives, One Dialog This is an "indirect collaboration" with Daniel Eatock. Two "postercards" which represent the communication I've established with him: on the first poster, through email; on the second, through packages sent by "conventional" mail. When folded down, the A3 posters become reproductions of Eatock's Postcards. The first poster is called Email and is a transcript of all messages we've exchanged digitally. Each side of the poster emphasizes the emails sent by one of us, while the space that should display the other person's messages are left blank. I've blocked out the email adresses, subjects and dates, focusing on the contents of the messages rather than other kinds of information. The second poster is called Package, and has reproductions of the package he sent me and the receipt from the package i've sent him. |
